Hospital Management Software in Oman

Many clinics in Oman run a system that predates VAT, or one whose vendor has stopped answering. Switching without closing is the hard part, and it is the part we have done before: EHMS, the hospital ERP we built for a trust eye hospital in Pakistan, replaced that hospital's old system without a single day of closure. For a hospital or clinic in Muscat, Sohar, Salalah or Nizwa, we move your patients, open bills and stock across, add civil-number registration and 5% VAT invoices, and connect the insurers you bill. Pakistan is one hour ahead of Oman, so we work your full day.

In short

Hospital management software in Oman runs registration, clinics, lab, pharmacy, billing and accounts, registers patients by civil number, issues invoices with Oman's 5% VAT, and handles insurer approvals and claims as private-sector health insurance grows. EHMS by Eaquirs Tech covers this in Arabic and English; moving data from your current system and connecting your insurers are part of each project. A hospital system typically costs $19,000 to $31,000, and a clinic edition $11,500 to $19,000.

  • Your old system's patients, bills and stock moved across
  • Civil number and insurance details on the patient record
  • Invoices with 5% VAT, posted to the ledger
  • Coverage, pre-approval, claims and denials already in EHMS
  • Pakistan is one hour ahead: we work your full day

Sound familiar?

  • A system older than VATThe hospital system was set up before VAT, so finance corrects invoices and returns by hand at month end.
  • A vendor who stopped answeringBugs and change requests go nowhere, and switching feels riskier than living with it.
  • Insurance growing faster than the deskMore patients arrive insured each year, and approvals and claims are still handled by phone and spreadsheet.
  • Branches too far apart to seeMuscat cannot see what the Salalah branch billed until someone emails a spreadsheet.

How a clinic in Muscat moves onto EHMS without closing

The same order we followed at the trust eye hospital in Pakistan, which did not close for a single day during the switch.

  1. Map the clinicWe sit with reception, doctors and accounts, list every rate, form and report you use, and agree what moves first.
  2. Move the live dataActive patients, open bills, stock and opening balances come across from the old system or its exports, and the counts are checked with your team.
  3. Switch one department at a timeReception and billing go first, then lab and pharmacy, while the old system stays available read-only for history.
  4. Go live in your hoursStaff are trained on their own screens, and support runs over WhatsApp and video during your working day.

What we build

  • Data migrationPatients, visits, open bills, stock and opening balances moved from your current system, with counts checked before go-live.
  • Billing, VAT & accountsCash, insurance and corporate billing with 5% VAT, plus ledgers, bank reconciliation and period closing.
  • Patient registration & civil numberOne record per patient with civil number, insurance details, visits and documents.
  • OPD & appointmentsDoctor schedules, tokens and consultation notes.
  • Insurance & claimsEHMS already has coverage check, pre-authorization, a claims register, a denial work queue and payer ageing; the link to your insurers' and TPAs' systems is built for your payers.
  • LaboratoryDigital orders, sample tracking and result entry with abnormal values flagged.
  • Pharmacy & inventoryE-prescriptions, dispensing, automatic stock deduction and a controlled drug register.
  • Branches across governoratesA head clinic in Muscat and branches in other governorates on one system, with reports across all of them.
  • Zakat, sadaqah & waqf fundsEach charity fund on its own ledger; a funded discount draws down the fund the desk picks, fully auditable.

Where AI helps

  • Duplicate patients found while old records are moved, with every merge listed for your team to approve
  • Invoices checked for missing VAT before they post
  • Visit summaries drafted in Arabic or English for the doctor to approve

Hospital software for the Gulf

Built and running

Common questions

Can you move our data from our current system?

Yes. We work with whatever your current system can export: database backups, reports or Excel files. Active patients, open bills and stock come first; history follows or stays readable in the old system. At the trust eye hospital in Pakistan we moved all the running data ourselves and the hospital did not close for a day.

Does it handle VAT and insurance in Oman?

Yes. Invoices carry Oman's 5% VAT and post to the ledger with it. EHMS already has coverage check, pre-authorization, a claims register, a denial work queue and payer ageing; the connection to each insurer or TPA you bill is built and tested with them before go-live.

Have you deployed EHMS in Oman?

Not yet. EHMS runs at two hospitals in Pakistan, including a trust eye hospital in Chishtian. A hospital in Oman would be among our first in the Gulf, so the migration and payer connections go into a written scope and a test environment before go-live.

How is hospital software priced in Oman?

In US dollars: typically $19,000 to $31,000 for a hospital and $11,500 to $19,000 for a clinic edition, the same ranges as our cost estimator. How much data moves from your old system moves it most. The exact price comes in a written plan after we see the facility, and the plan is yours whether or not you work with us.

Where is patient data hosted?

In Oman: in a data centre in Oman or on a server in your hospital, planned around Oman's Personal Data Protection Law from the start.
