Hospital Management Software in the UAE

Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates each have their own health authority, claims platform and patient-record exchange, and a hospital system has to fit the one your licence sits under. EHMS, the hospital ERP we built and run for a trust eye hospital in Pakistan, already works in Arabic and English and already tracks coverage, pre-approvals, claims and denials. For a UAE facility we connect it to DHA eClaimLink or DOH Shafafiya, add Emirates ID registration and ICD-10 and CPT coding, and issue 5% VAT invoices. Pakistan is one hour ahead of the UAE, so we work your full day.

In short

Hospital management software in the UAE runs registration, consultations, lab, pharmacy, billing and accounts, and also speaks to your emirate's regulator: Emirates ID on every record, insurance approval before treatment, e-claims in the format DHA or DOH expects, and invoices with 5% VAT. EHMS by Eaquirs Tech covers the hospital side in Arabic and English; the emirate's claims and record-exchange connections are built and tested for each facility before go-live. A hospital system typically costs $19,000 to $31,000, and a clinic edition $11,500 to $19,000.

  • Emirates ID and insurance card on the patient record
  • Coverage, pre-approval, claims register and denials already in EHMS
  • DHA eClaimLink or DOH Shafafiya connection built for your facility
  • ICD-10 and CPT codes checked before a claim leaves
  • Pakistan is one hour ahead: we work your full day

One country, three health authorities

Which regulator, claims platform and record exchange apply depends on the emirate your facility is licensed in. EHMS is set up for the one you sit under, and a group with branches in more than one emirate runs each branch on its own rules.

Sound familiar?

  • Claims rejected after the factMissing pre-approvals, wrong codes or late submissions only show up when the remittance arrives.
  • Arabic or English, not bothReception and patients want Arabic, doctors and finance work in English, and the software only does one well.
  • Inspections need records on the dayDHA, DOH or MOHAP inspections ask for records, consents and audit trails you end up finding by hand.
  • Branches in two emirates, two sets of rulesA clinic in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi bill different platforms, and head office reconciles them in spreadsheets.

What we build

  • Insurance & e-claimsEHMS already has coverage check, pre-authorization, a claims register, a denial work queue and payer ageing; the link to DHA eClaimLink in Dubai or DOH Shafafiya in Abu Dhabi is built for your facility.
  • Clinical codingICD-10 diagnoses and CPT procedures on every encounter, checked before the claim is sent.
  • Patient registration & Emirates IDOne record per patient with Emirates ID, insurance card, visits and documents.
  • OPD & appointmentsDoctor schedules, tokens and consultation notes.
  • LaboratoryDigital orders, sample tracking and result entry with abnormal values flagged.
  • Pharmacy & controlled drugsE-prescriptions, dispensing, automatic stock deduction and a controlled drug register.
  • Billing, VAT & accountsCash, insurance and corporate billing with 5% VAT, plus ledgers, bank reconciliation and period closing.
  • IPD, wards & reportsAdmissions, bed board, housekeeping and management dashboards.
  • Branches across emiratesClinics in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on one system, each branch on its own emirate's rules, with head-office reports across both.

Where AI helps

  • Claims checked for missing pre-approvals and ICD-10 or CPT mismatches before submission
  • Denials grouped by reason and payer, so billing fixes the pattern instead of one claim at a time
  • Visit and discharge summaries drafted in Arabic or English for the doctor to approve

Hospital software for the Gulf

Built and running

Common questions

Which emirates can EHMS be set up for?

Any of them. Dubai facilities connect to DHA's eClaimLink, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain facilities to DOH's Shafafiya, and Northern Emirates facilities bill each insurer or TPA directly. A group with branches in more than one emirate runs them on one system, each branch on its own rules.

Have you deployed EHMS in the UAE?

Not yet. EHMS runs at two hospitals in Pakistan, including a trust eye hospital in Chishtian. A hospital in the UAE would be among our first in the Gulf, so the emirate connections go into a written scope and a test environment before go-live.

Does it connect to NABIDH or Malaffi?

Not today. Each exchange has its own onboarding and data standards, so for facilities that must share records the connection is scoped in the written plan, then built and tested before go-live.

How is hospital software priced in the UAE?

In US dollars: typically $19,000 to $31,000 for a hospital and $11,500 to $19,000 for a clinic edition, the same ranges as our cost estimator. The biggest swing is how many emirates' platforms you need connected. The exact price comes in a written plan after we see the facility, and the plan is yours whether or not you work with us.

Where is patient data hosted?

In the UAE: on a UAE cloud region or on a server in your hospital. UAE health data law generally requires patient data to stay in the country, so we plan hosting around that from the start.
