Hospital Management Software in Qatar

Health insurance is becoming the norm at Qatar's front desks: the 2021 health insurance law made cover mandatory, starting with visitors, and every insured patient turns registration into a policy check. EHMS, the hospital ERP we built and run for a trust eye hospital in Pakistan, already has coverage checks, pre-approvals, a claims register and denial tracking, in Arabic and English. For a hospital or clinic in Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah or Lusail, we add Qatar ID registration, connect it to the insurers and TPAs you bill, and keep the records the Ministry of Public Health asks for. Qatar has no VAT, and Pakistan is two hours ahead, so we work your full day.

In short

Hospital management software in Qatar runs registration, clinics, lab, pharmacy, billing and accounts, checks the patient's insurance at every visit, requests pre-approval before covered services, attaches the approval to the claim, and keeps the audit trail a Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) inspection looks for. EHMS by Eaquirs Tech covers this in Arabic and English, with patients registered by Qatar ID; connections to each insurer and TPA are built per project. A hospital system typically costs $19,000 to $31,000, and a clinic edition $11,500 to $19,000.

  • Qatar ID and policy details on the patient record
  • Co-pay and deductible known before the consultation
  • Coverage, pre-approval, claims and denials already in EHMS
  • Records and audit trail ready for MOPH inspections
  • Pakistan is two hours ahead: we work your full day

What mandatory insurance changes at the front desk

When most patients arrive insured, reception takes on five jobs it used to skip. In EHMS each one is a step on the patient's file, not a phone call.

  • Check the policy at registration Insurer, policy number and validity recorded with the patient and checked on the coverage screen.
  • Tell the patient their share Co-pay and deductible shown before the consultation, so there is no argument at billing.
  • Ask before covered services Pre-approval requested for services that need it, and the approval number saved on the visit.
  • Send the claim with its proof The claim leaves with the diagnosis codes and the approval attached.
  • Watch rejections by insurer Denials land in a work queue grouped by payer and reason, so billing fixes the cause.

Sound familiar?

  • More insured patients, same manual checksMandatory insurance means a policy at nearly every visit, and the front desk still checks cover by phone.
  • Pre-approvals chased by emailRequests, replies and approval numbers sit in inboxes instead of on the patient's file.
  • Arabic or English, not bothReception and patients want Arabic, doctors and finance work in English, and the software only does one well.
  • Audit trails rebuilt before inspectionsWho changed a record, and when, is pieced together by hand when MOPH asks.

What we build

  • Clinical codingICD-10 diagnoses and the procedure codes your payers require on every encounter, checked before the claim is sent.
  • OPD & appointmentsDoctor schedules, tokens and consultation notes.
  • LaboratoryDigital orders, sample tracking and result entry with abnormal values flagged.

Where AI helps

  • Policy and pre-approval checked before a covered service is booked
  • Claims checked for missing approvals and code mismatches before they reach the payer

Hospital software for the Gulf

Built and running

Common questions

Does it handle Qatar's mandatory health insurance?

Yes. EHMS already has coverage check, pre-authorization, a claims register, a denial work queue and payer ageing, so the front desk sees a patient's cover and co-pay before the consultation, and claims go out with the approval attached. The connection to each insurer or TPA is built and tested with them before go-live.

Can reception see the patient's co-pay before the consultation?

Yes. Once the policy is on the coverage screen, reception sees the patient's share before the visit, billing charges only that amount, and the rest goes to the payer as a claim.

Have you deployed EHMS in Qatar?

Not yet. EHMS runs at two hospitals in Pakistan, including a trust eye hospital in Chishtian. A hospital in Qatar would be among our first in the Gulf, so the payer connections go into a written scope and a test environment before go-live.

How is hospital software priced in Qatar?

In US dollars: typically $19,000 to $31,000 for a hospital and $11,500 to $19,000 for a clinic edition, the same ranges as our cost estimator. How many insurers you bill directly moves it most. The exact price comes in a written plan after we see the facility, and the plan is yours whether or not you work with us.

Where is patient data hosted?

In Qatar: on a cloud region in Qatar or on a server in your hospital, planned around Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law from the start.
